Celebrate Holidays and International Cultures

Many cultures celebrate the use of light, and a glow in the dark crafting session is a great way to celebrate and educate in a creative and memorable way.

Glow in the Dark Painting Eggs and Craft

Glow in the Dark Easter

Join us for a relaxed glow-in-the-dark Easter craft session at Cossall Community Hall (The Old School House), designed to give children time to make, explore and enjoy creating at their own pace.

In a calm UV-lit setting with soft music and glowing garden-style decorations, children can paint eggs using glow-in-the-dark paints, make a tissue-paper nest, and choose from simple Easter crafts including bunny cut-outs and other 2D designs.

The session is mainly open-ended with help on hand if needed, making it ideal for families who enjoy a creative, low-pressure activity with plenty of freedom to explore.

Painting And Crafting

Monet in the Glow Garden

This Monet-inspired session invites children to explore flowers, colour and painting in a calm glow-in-the-dark setting at Cossall Community Hall (The Old School House).

Surrounded by UV plants and flowers, with gentle music playing, children can create their own artwork using paint, paper, scissors and glue, taking inspiration from Monet’s style in a way that feels accessible and enjoyable rather than formal.

The session is designed to support observation, creativity, confidence and calm focus, with plenty of freedom for children to make their own choices. A little art history can be touched on for families who are interested, but the emphasis is very much on a positive, hands-on creative experience.

Paint a mask!

Día de los Muertos

A calm, creative glow session inspired by Día de los Muertos, where children can enjoy painting, mask-making and creating bright fluorescent paper marigolds in a softly lit UV setting. Designed especially for ages 5–9 but open to all, the session offers a relaxed, parent-supported way to explore colour, pattern and celebration through hands-on art.
