OUR INSPIRATION
Where GlowGarden Began
GlowGarden began at home.
As a father to two energetic boys who find high-stimulation environments overwhelming, I was always searching for calmer ways to engage them in creativity and learning.
By chance, I bought a small UV lamp. We spent an entire afternoon experimenting — discovering how light transformed everyday objects. The following week we tried fluorescent paper. Then glow-in-the-dark paint.
What started as curiosity slowly evolved into something bigger.
Today, GlowGarden is hosted in Cossall Community Hall — the old school house — surrounded by beautiful countryside and toddler-friendly walks. A place where creativity can feel calm, safe and quietly magical.
A Unique Sensory Experience
Working with new forms of light adds an element of discovery. Children explore how colours change, what glows and why, and how light transforms their creations. This encourages curiosity, observation and simple scientific thinking through hands-on experimentation.
The tactile nature of painting, cutting and building supports fine motor skills, coordination and creative confidence. Meanwhile, the softly lit, structured environment provides a focused space where children can engage deeply without overwhelming distraction.
